It’s afraid of not having a fair and even playing field. High school girl athletes train their asses off to try and win. It’s not fair they are required to compete against biological boys. If there wasn’t a biological difference between boys and girls, why have separate sports?
Genuine question. How do you keep the playing field level for born females? I've seen the research about decreased performance after hormone treatments but those are mostly applicable to distance running. How do you account for the advantage in base stature?

This is shaming of trans and gender nonconforming kids who are already far more susceptible to violence, self-harm, and suicide.
These 'culture war' issues are a media cash cow and distraction from issues that matter most: Food and housing costs, public health and safety, education. We are notoriously bad at focusing on what's most important.
