The National Association of Nigerian Students has threatened to stage a nationwide protest to demonstrate their dissatisfaction on the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
It slammed the Nigerian government and the ASUU leadership over its failure to resolve their issues amicably without resort to strike. “We are equally disappointed at the government for not doing everything possible to avert this embarrassment. We are also disappointed with the ASUU for reaching this conclusion irrespective of the implications to the students, academic calendar, research they claim to love, national security, and sanity. The Government and ASUU by this action sent a direct message to Nigerian students to also take positions comfortable for our side of the table irrespective of the implications.
Where are dey when we need them dey most
Which NANS. Which means boys are broke. This is invitation to treat. Boys need consultation from authorities. Nothing will happen. All na shakara oloje !
Audio threaten, boys are running out of cash.
The Minister of Labor and Education must resign, Nigeria Labour Congress should organise ALL unions across the nation to join. As what affects one, affects the other.
Wahala no be finish ooo
Well they might also be tired of getting the same present 🎁 they usually get any time it’s Valentine🎁
you are protesting when their children are abroad studying?
It is right time and if ASSU go on strike, all private universities must be closed down. Any ASSU member in dis universities be sanctioned and taken to court for sabotage. For APC vote them out.
They're putting the saddle on the wrong horse. Rubbish!
For NANS to achieve anything with the protest, they should demand that everyone occupying our governance space, both from the ASUU & FG sides, at all levels, must be compelled to patronize our Public Schools and Public hospitals. That's only when they'll do the needful therein.
Who send them
