As the campaign season officially kicked off, the Philippine Women’s University called on Filipino voters to “take thoughtful consideration” of each candidate’s character, platform, and track record.

“Amid a culture of rampant disinformation, PWU remains a bastion of intellectual integrity. As such, we call on the community to reject peddlers of fake news and be more discerning and critical of information sources to avoid becoming unwitting outlets of viral half-truths or outright fake news,” PWU said.

Meanwhile, PWU also reminded the voting public to respect the opinions and choices of fellow Filipinos “whether they conform with us or not.”
