A magistrate court in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, has ordered the remand of seven suspects over the alleged killing of a student, Ridwan Ajibiye, during a cultists’ clash in Malete.

The suspects, all students, are Victor Okpara, Zubair Baba, Samuel Ogundele, Stephen Oluwafemi, Oyebanji Sodiq, Oladipupo Mukaram and Salau Joshua. They are between 22 and 26 years of age.They were charged with criminal conspiracy, illegal possession of firearms, membership of secret cults and secret societies and culpable homicide.
