KOTA KINABALU: Starting next week, schools in the state with at least two positive Covid-19 cases will be closed down for seven days, says Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

KOTA KINABALU: Starting next week, schools in the state with at least two positive Covid-19 cases will be closed down for seven days, says Datuk Seri Masidi ManjunThe minister in charge of Covid-19 matters in the state said the cases would have to include at least one internally transmitted case among students or teachers, or the staff.“This is needed based on the current Covid-19 situation in Sabah,” he said in a statement.

Only students sitting for main examinations are allowed to return to their hostels for full day class sessions starting Feb 7, Masidi added. On Friday , Sabah recorded a total of 909 new Covid-19 cases, and four new clusters, all education linked.
