COVID-19 restrictions around mask-wearing and venue capacity will continue for at least another four weeks in Canberra.

The ACT's COVID-19 restrictions around mask-wearing and venue capacity have been extended for another four weeks as students head back to school.The Chief Minister announced 200,000 RATs would be distributed to school students and staff this weekIt means hospitality venues must continue to follow the one person per 2 square metres rule indoors and ensure patrons are seated while eating and drinking. Dancing is still not permitted either.

"We're anticipating much more movement across the community over the coming weeks as Canberrans go back to work and schools reopen."On-campus learning resumes today for new students, with returning students heading back into classrooms tomorrow. The ACT recorded 584 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, with 62 people in hospital including three in intensive care and one on ventilation."We'll use the next two weeks to closely monitor the situation, particularly around what a return to school and many of our regular routines means for case numbers."
