PETALING JAYA: Petaling Jaya City centreback Jeremy Lim never saw himself as a footballer during his school days.

But all that changed while he was pursuing his higher studies at the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Kampar.

Now, the 23-year-old late bloomer intends to follow in the footsteps of his father, Lim Yu Po, who played for Melaka in the 80s. “I did play football with my father, who used to play alongside Datuk Soh Chin Aun. I know Chin Aun personally and he’s a big inspiration as he was also a centreback. “The PKNS experience helped me a lot when I moved to PJ City. It’s been good this season as I had some first-team appearances and I must build on that.
