Life is expensive, cars break down and we all need a drunk Uber from time to time. As you’re budgeting for the next few months, build in an extra 10% breathing space.
. Work out what you can comfortably live off on a weekly basis between now and graduation, factor in any freelance income and then move the rest aside into a ‘pot’ or separate savings account. For post-graduation, this will of course depend on your situation but with the categories from point 3 in mind, you should be able to estimate for now.When you do land a job, promise me this: Ask about their pension scheme. Pensions are THE most underrated tool for building wealth.
