Dept of Higher Education discourages walk-insThe department has urged matriculants to use the online system to connect with universities and colleges. 'Discourages' is an incorrect verb here, it should be 'condemns'. Lest we forget, a mother died at UJ a few years ago due to a stampede which was enabled by a walk-in. SA’s education system needs a radical overhaul for the Fourth Industrial RevolutionGovernment needs to show real ambition. The odd pilot project here or there won’t help. There needs to be a mass roll-out, not only of technology but of the training needed for teachers to equip learners with 4IR skills. The S.A. education system is too politicized Please include the brain dead individuals from the eff in the radical overhaul of the education revolution. More of a question than a reply: critical thinking yes, but what about creative thinking? New technologies cannot be developed or invented without creative input, surely? And how do you suggest we teach creativity?
