THE Special Adviser to the Governor of Taraba State, Bala Abu, says efforts of the Governor, Darius Ishaku, has helped in transforming the educational and infrastructural sectors of the state.
Abu said this in a statement on Monday, highlighting Ishaku’s commitment to the welfare of the people of the state. The statement read in part, “When Ishaku assumed office as governor in 2015; Taraba State University was not a rated university. It was merely struggling to survive. “It had only three professors and a few faculties. The Rescue Agenda of the Ishaku administration intervened with the appointment of a new Vice Chancellor, the employment of over 50 professors, addition of more modern facilities, building of lecture halls and lecture theatres and increase in students’ population.
“Last week, the National Universities Commission placed TSU among Nigeria’s 20 best universities in the country.
It's not true. This government has not commission a project in the state.
