KUALA LUMPUR: Disciplinary action will be taken against teachers who refuse to be vaccinated before the Nov 1 deadline set by the Public Services Department for all civil servants to be fully inoculated, said Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon .

Mah said all teachers must abide by the PSD circular that all civil servants must complete their vaccinations before Nov 1 or face disciplinary action. "Action will be taken against these teachers in order to ensure that the teaching and learning process of students isn't affected," said Mah in Parliament on Tuesday during Question Time.

He was responding to Datuk Mohd Salim Shariff , who asked whether the Education Ministry would take disciplinary action against teachers who refused to be vaccinated, as he cited the recent circular by the PSD.
