The mayor of Hudson, Ohio, is calling for the resignation of the entire Board of Education after high school seniors were assigned a controversial book with writing assignments that asked them to describe sexual experiences, to pretend they were a serial killer and to describe the taste of beer.
"While we respect the Mayor’s position within the City of Hudson, in accordance with the State laws of Ohio, the supervision of the public schools of this District is the responsibility of the Board of Education," Zuro said in a statement. The book also contained less provocative prompts such as describing the worst Thanksgiving dish or writing about the perfect day as an astronaut.
“I can’t even wrap my brain around a teacher, I don’t care if it’s for college credit, these are minors,” she said.
And this is why public schools are not trusted and performing poorly!

He’s teaching a college level course for high school seniors. If the school board didn’t want their high school students being tired like college students they shouldn’t offer college level courses. They’re talking about high school seniors, most of whom are near or over 18.
The use of the word essential would indicate this was a solely a matter of opinion and taste.

Yes, this was awful and proper oversight was omitted before the book was distributed. A glaring error. But the damned politician mayor should stay out of this and let the school board investigate and sanction and make sure this doesn’t happen again.
