The Vice-Chancellor, Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Prof. Labode Popoola, has said the institution will confer first degree awards on 1,815 graduands

This is as the VC disclosed that roughly 10,300 trees have been planted by the institution in the past three years in its contribution to the reduction of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.Prof Popoola said the above on Tuesday, in Osogbo, during a press briefing with respect to the university’s 10th convocation ceremonies.

According to him, “the 10th convocation ceremonies of this University would be a hybrid model where physical ceremonies would be held, and the virtual approach would be maintained for those unable to be with us physically. “Also, 544 representing 29.97 percent of the total number of graduands will be awarded Second Class degrees, 937 representing 51.63 percent of the total number of graduands made Second Class .

“Under the Postgraduate graduands, we have 169 Academic Masters, 16 Professional Masters’, and 21 Postgraduate Diploma graduands from different programmes spread across the 12 faculties in the University.”
