Our first date was in an inner-city Irish pub. I’d always thought Hugh handsome, but was also very attracted to his kindness and his creativity. We talked for hours about movies and the scripts he’d been working on and theatre shows he was directing since finishing his arts degree. The chemistry between us was intense.
