It was on 24 August 2019 when 19-year-old Uyinene Mrwetyana visited the Clareinch post office. She had come to collect a parcel. “We’ve changed our lives and how we live, I think the varsity and the foundation has kept up with that," said Jenna Unsworth."Do I see a huge change in the incidents rate? I don’t think so. I think women still feel the brunt of these gender-based violence acts.” The University of CapeTown has since created a scholarship in her name, while Mrwetyana’s family has established a foundation in her honour.
All we can do is remember a beautiful life thst was lost for no reason. People are struggling in South Africa and still have to pay tax so that the murderers can have 3 meals a day. Tell me how that makes sense, government is failing to protect women and children. M.H.S.R.I.P
