Unizik student commits suicide, allegedly over tuition hike - Punch Newspapers

A 200-level male student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State has reportedly committed suicide over alleged hike in school fees.

He called on the students to go about their activities without fear as the situation had be put under control.

I wonder how these is increasingly found in Nigeria recently. You have the courage to kill yourself but lack the courage to face the challenge of school fees. Challenges on school fees are in every clime; though 1st world countries mitigate this with offer of student loans...

This death is on the governor of Anambra state Obiano.They don’t know the impact of all these increase in fees upandan across Nigeria on the poor masses.Nigeria masses elasticity to endure is so limitless. Wish our people could wake up one day and push back on all the oppressors
