NDP Leader says issue has fallen from national dialogue since spring, calls for further action on reconciliation with Indigenous peoples

Further action is required to address the matter, Mr. Singh said. The NDP has called for the appointment of a special prosecutor to probe crimes against Indigenous students who attended the schools. Arlen Dumas, Grand Chief of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs; Cindy Woodhouse, the Manitoba regional chief of the Assembly of First Nations; and Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Grand Chief Garrison Settee all met with the Liberal Leader on his campaign bus.
