At least 50 families from the York St kindergarten were set to emerge from their quarantine in the coming days until they received the devastating news on Friday.The educator was on site between August 6 and August 12. It's believed the teacher will not face any disciplinary action.
“If you’re asked to test because there’s a sense you may have the virus, and we want to rule you out … but also look after the safety of people you’ve been with, some of whom might be little kids, I don’t think that’s such a big ask,” he said on Thursday. “I know 57 seems a very big number but when the vast majority of those have been in isolation for their infectious period, that’s exactly what we want, that’s the system working exactly as it should work."
