Pretty much every parent has the same question | CBCKids

. But is it a good plan? Besides vaccinations and more variants, it seems like this plan is the same one our kids were following before. We know so much more about COVID, yet the changes I see to our schools have been on a cosmetic and reactive level.

For our family, online learning became untenable after a while. My son quickly became too anxious and far harder to manage. He would get agitated with teachers who couldn’t see his raised hand, in his tiny square on the second page of Zoom. We also had a shared curriculum for certain classes with older students and he was unable to keep up. So we stopped participating in online learning and I had to start working after he went to sleep just to make up the hours.

As hard as it’s been for me though, it’s been so much harder for my son. The kids aren’t all right. I don’t know any kid who was happy to be stuck inside with their parents, learning on a screen.

Kids Nothing has changed for children under the age of 12 since the start of the pandemic. No ventilation work has been completed in our area. There will be a relaxation of masks and distancing rules. As a parent, I'm beyond stressed.

Kids Yes, vaccinate all 12 year older, make them wear a mask and that is tge best that you can do.

Kids Remember when we were ‘all in this together’ now it’s ‘throw your children into the burning furnace that churns the engines of capitalism all for the wealthy who fear they are not making money fast enough’

Kids Based on what has happened in every other country state where schools have reopened especially elementary I'm afraid the answer is no.

Kids Everything possible must be done to insure all children are safe from this virus !

Kids It's a matter of perception. To some it will, to some it won't. Parents should be allowed to take the decision they believe is best for their children. Schools must offer this flexibility of choice.

Kids PERSPECTIVE: 1,429 kids under age 20 have been hospitalized since March 2020 in Canada (1 in 5,504). 7,865,725 kids live here. 1,414 of the 1,429 recovered and were sent home. 15 died. Over 506 days. 1 every 34 days.

Kids How many realize the question is rhetorical?
