The Scottish region is seeing another unusually high number of twins starting school in September.

13 of the 15 sets of twins set to start school in Inverclyde this year met up for a photoshoot on Wednesday

That means 200 children – 100 pairs of twins – are now attending school there between primary one and seven.But on Wednesday, a week before the double trouble begins again for teachers, 13 of the pairs met up at St Mary’s Primary School in Greenock for a photo shoot. Mr Brennan, also Inverclyde Council’s vice-convener of education, continued: ‘As a former teacher myself, the return to school is always an exciting time for pupils, parents and staff.
