He says the reason there hasn't been much face-to-face teaching at universities is"because Gavin Williamson has been preventing it". Mr Kyle said the"sheer instability injected into our system" by Mr Williamson over the last year is"a textbook for incompetence". He told Sky News:"There was a lot of delay in the autumn term. We were consistently asking for real clarity about how the students would be assessed."He said the"big plea" he has got today is for the next group of students, saying:"Let's give them some certainty."
Instead, the grades are teacher assessed and will have drawn on a"range of evidence" based on what students have been taught in between college closures.
