KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Umno supreme council member Datuk Rosni Sohar has resigned as a member of the Management Board of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN).

Rosni, who is also Wanita Umno secretary, said in a statement here that the decision was in line with the party's stand to withdraw support for the Perikatan Nasional government.

On Friday , Wanita Umno chief, Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad had stepped down as Higher Education Minister. Rosni also expressed her gratitude to all PTPTN staff for their good cooperation while she was with the corporation. - Bernama
