The mum-of-two posted on Instagram pleading with parents to 'take action' over current rules which see pupils sent home from school to self-isolate when someone in the class tests positive. 'How much longer are we going to destroy children’s educational prospects? Where is the roadmap for stabilising children’s learning? There is none because it is not a priority. This must stop.'One said: 'A member of our team is off today because the whole of her daughter's year has been told to isolate for 10 days.
Experts, including the National Education Union, have said schools are likely to see more pupils self-isolating before the end of July and that cases are expected to double three times before the end of term.
