Instead of the longstanding 9am to 3pm start and finish times, NSW primary schools will be given powers to alter when classes start for the day under an initiative to increase productivity.
A NSW Education department spokesman told NCA NewsWire details of the change have yet to be finalised and it would be up to individual schools to decide their start and finish times. There’s also the possibility of a series of staggered start times across the day to give students, and ultimately parents, the flexibility to what start time suits their needs.
How about we get enough teachers to teach. Classes are over crowded and my kids school has no relief teachers causing kids to split into other classes. My year 1 boy has been in year 3 class atleasr 15 times. Let alone split into other year 1 class. I understand ppl get sick
