SINGAPORE, June 9 — A former part-time religious teacher and housewife was detained under the Internal Security Act in April this year after authorities discovered that she had become even more radicalised in the eight months after she was issued a restriction order.
Despite the restriction order, ISD said Ruqayyah persisted in communicating online with overseas Isis supporters who were associates of her husband’s. Mohamed Faishal bin Mohd Razali, 30, was released on a suspension direction, after being detained for slightly more than three years since April 2018 as he wanted to pursue armed violence in overseas conflicts.
