Prof. Akinwumi gave the assurance in Ado Ekiti while declaring open a 10-day training programme organized by the Universal Basic Education Commission in conjunction with SUBEB for 120 teachers newly employed under the Federal Teachers Scheme in the state.
He lauded the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi for paying over N7.3 billion counterpart fund to UBEC covering the period of 2014-2020 which according to him gave the state access to funds for infrastructural development and training programmes under the UBEC/SUBEB partnership. In his goodwill message, the Executive Secretary UBEC, Dr. Hamid Bobboyi who was represented by Damilola Oke commended Ekiti SUBEB for its commitment to teachers’ welfare and capacity building.
