Teachers say climate change content in the national curriculum is currently 'limited' and should be extended.

At Cotham Gardens Primary School in Bristol, they set aside six whole days every year, to teaching climate change.For Year 5, that includes a debate on the expansion of Bristol Airport.

Teachers currently have flexibility to decide how they approach the subject. But Sam fears some pupils could miss out, if schools don't teach it as much.

Can’t work out why telling kids that humans are bad and destroying the planet is causing them anxiety. Is it a bit like telling all white boys that they are the cause of all the worlds injustice?

Most geography lesson's I was in 3 years ago was ranting about climate change. There was a lesson where we were forced to watch a climate change documentary with John Kerry in it. It was made out to be a doomsday scenario. Obviously impressionable people will get worried.
