The government extended aid to over 2 million college students during the COVID-19 pandemic, Commission on Higher Education Chairman Prospero de Vera III said Monday.

MANILA — The government extended aid to over 2 million college students during the COVID-19 pandemic, Commission on Higher Education Chairman Prospero de Vera III said Monday.

Some 400,000 students, meanwhile, received stipends under the Tertiary Education Subsidy during the pandemic while 400,000 got scholarships under the Tulong Dunong program, De Vera said. "The higher education landscape has tremendously changed and continues to transform amidst the pandemic. But I am confident that we will all survive," De Vera said.
