He urged the state government to rescind the decision, stressing that it was not the best time to increase tuition fees due to the present economic instability in the country. He added that the scholarship programme of the state government cannot cater to a large number of students, saying only a few of them were beneficiaries.
Muhammad stressed that there was nowhere in the country where state universities received a token of N26,000 as school fees across the board.

It is actually a standard practise in Western societies. Once you are not a resident of a state for at least 6 years, you will pay more as a student. El rufai is looking for ways to increase state revenue because there is a cash crunch.
That increment is for your own benefit o, if them kidnap you as a student the school will bring 70% of the ransom, your parents will bring 30%. Basically your ransom is included in your school fees for your pre-kidnap. Abi elrufai 😂😂
A peaceful demonstration might help. Affected students have the right to protest peacefully to show their displeasure with the governor's unfortunate decision. He really need to have a rethink.
