The Al-Itqan Education Centre in Teluk Kumbar, Penang, is scheduled for completion by 2023.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the project, which would be undertaken by Penang-based Ideal Property Group, is targeted to commence work soon this year.“The building will be constructed by Ideal Property Group as part of the condition imposed by the state to provide social amenities within their housing project, ” he said in his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony of the centre on Saturday.

Mohd Rashid speaking to the media about the fundraising event to garner RM1mil for the school’s equipment and furniture. The centre sitting on a three-acre site of wakaf land will have 51 classrooms, four laboratories, four meeting rooms, three multipurpose halls and two prayer rooms among its amenities.
