We did it in Offaly for a Nigerian boy!
Twitter comment board: DONT LET ETHNO NATIONALISM GERMINATE IN IRELAND. We were considered scum abroad too once. Perhaps we should do what we can to be a light in a very dark world.
If he has the legal right to be here than by all means, but if he is illegal he is illegal and must be deported along with any other illegals. Schools are tugging at the heart strings of the public in these cases but the fact remains the law is the law
Does he have the right to apply for citizenship?
It's getting a bit ridiculous now, prancing children out in school uniforms saying we have to keep them even if the parents are illegal.
Once again immigration law is proved to be cruelty for cruelty's sake.
To be fair Chinese people always work and integrate in Ireland unlike. Others who don't want to
They are here illegally, a new trick they are at now, this isn't the first case. Laughing at us & how soft they think we are. Why can't we look after our own first, health system is in tatters with many waiting for serious operations for years & many Irish people who are homeless
if the kid remained in here, I would say it’s a lot unfair for international students who have spent a tons of euros in studying .He is illegal there, and he potentially will have the rights of residence. We spent a lot here, good to Irish economy , but we can’t get an employment
The kid needs to seek asylum in his own right and he'll be allowed stay.
Whilst there are always people espousing deportation almost malicious manner, I think it's important that we abide by the immigration rules set down by the law. If a candidate does not qualify to stay they must go. 12 years of application/appeals too long, more efficiency needed
The Chinese are pretty good at integration. They don't cover their faces or develop parallel societies. Let the lad stay and actually kick out a few of those who have been judged to have no asylum case but are just floating around anyway.
It is crucial to understand this boy will officially not exist in China. He has no hukou, so no access to schools, health, and later in life finding a job will be very difficult and a wife, forget it.
Nine year old born and reared fkn Irish ☘️ kid!!!! Come on guys FFS🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I live in China. This poor kid will end up on the periphery of society if he's deported here.
Some of the comments on here are a disgrace to the nation. The same gobshites who’ll wave the tricolour and talk about how much of the world we built. Ireland is a nation of migrants and should take pride in welcoming others that need it.
Here's the petition. The lad and his mother should be allowed to stay.
These Loonies are obviously being put up to this by someone from the open-borders brigade.
He was born in Ireland he’s growing up and being educated in Ireland so he’s Irish.
Leave this little kid stay. Dump half of the government elsewhere, I say!
Here we go again. What do we need laws for if emotions have the final say?
We open the floodgates we better be prepared for the consequences. Our immigration policies may as well be removed and replaced with open door policy of all welcome.
CharlieFlanagan surely you can't have one rule for your constituents and another for everybody else?
So his illegal mother gets a free ticket also? How much is this family costing us?
Send his family home if the laws says so. We are full
Look what the Nigerian schoolboy started in Offaly and aided by CharlieFlanagan to overturn a legally binding deportation order when stupid schoolkids screamed and rebelled to allow his whole family stay, at huge future costs to us. His supporters are lefty lib trainees
Daft that someone who was born here is being deported, if he was born in Ireland why isn’t he a citizen?
There time is up send them back sick of all this we cant look after our own homeless crisis yet all these refugees are houses deport him / her & the rest of the family looking for pity when more then likely they have a safe mansion to go back on holiday to stay
