PETALING JAYA: Students with symptoms similar to Covid-19, or whose family members have such symptoms, do not need to come to school, says Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

The Health Minister said there were some recorded cases where students whose family members had the illness attended school and spread the virus there.

He added that there has been a marked increase in the number of Covid-19 cases this year among those aged 12 and below. Dr Adham also said the children of those undergoing home quarantine or persons under investigation should also not attend school.

Some are adamant not to disrupt their normal lives and still send kids to school. Staff have to be more vigilant. No contact. Perhaps, children are still mingling.
