He is speaking to the retired generation who really are pretty clueless about modern youngsters.

My daughter's school request mobile phones are kept off during the day unless given permission. Permission is given to use them for research, or to take photos related to their work etc. It works. He is looking for problems that don't exist.

Maybe Gavin Williamson hasn't been given PM Johnson's mobile number or is he worried kids may be able to direct dial PMJohnson and get him sacked?
