The spike under this cluster is among the contributing factors of Kelantan recording the highest increase of all states on Thursday - registering 662 new cases.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said about 368 cases in Kelantan were from clusters, while 199 were those detected from contact tracing.The Kampung Domis cluster was first identified as a new cluster on April 15. The cluster is linked to staff and students of an education centre located in Kampung Domis in Tanah Merah.
To date, there are 348 confirmed cases under the cluster and seven patients under the cluster have been discharged so far.Dr Noor Hisham said of the new clusters, five were workplace related, four were community outbreaks, three were linked to the education sector, while one was due to a religious event.Named Jalan Shah Banting cluster, Dr Noor Hisham said 913 individuals had to undergo a targeted screening exercise since April 16.
