The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has decried the fraudulent activities of cybercafés and tutorial centre operators who specialise in deceiving candidates, using the board’s insignia and name.
”It is a criminal offence for one to use the exam bodys’ name and logo when one is not licensed by the Board to do so for any reason, ” Dr. Fabian warned. Oloyede had on Friday, handed over some suspected criminal cybercafé and tutorial centre operators to security agents for investigation and prosecution.
He alleged that such platforms are used as incubators for grooming examination offenders, who also use the logo and name of the board to perpetrate malpractice.
