Move will not affect the planned reopening of schools on April 12th, according to unions

Privately, she expressed concern at the changes at a meeting of Fianna Fáil’s parliamentary party last week.

“There’s an opportunity to set this right. If we are fobbed off, then all options are on the table,’ said one INTO source. “Our members are upset, frustrated and annoyed and they will have an opportunity to express that on the congress floor,” said TUI general secretary“We never wanted to jump ahead of any vulnerable members of the community. We just [want] to continue what was planned, which was prioritising essential, frontline workers,” he said.

The ASTI is also likely to debate an emergency motion calling for industrial action if members are not vaccinated before the end of the current academic year.

No strike

How do they have such power?

Can I have 500 lines from every teacher who thinks they should ignore the science on the best way for all in the roll out if the vaccines.

Teachers have lost the public backing on this one. They’ve already withdrawn labour. Only profession to do so. So many lost their labour through no fault of their own. Trade Unions always just pushing for “me first”. They’ve often had public support. Not this time.

Headline should read Teachers Unions declare they are a soft shower of pussies and much more vulnerable to Covid than Tesco Checkout workers and thus must be allowed to skip the queue.

I dare them. In fact I double dare them 😷🙃

Don’t get why teachers unions think teachers should be prioritised ahead of people at more risks. Teachers work in a safe environment and should wait like everyone else. Someone working at a till in Lidl is at more risk.

So that they can travel abroad for three months.

Time to rid those unions of their power

Disputes incl strikes are always resolved round a table. So do it before you burn your bridges. Strike is the default position of teachers. If you bluff you better be prepared for your bluff to be called.

Disgracing themselves yet again.

So medical and scientific experts have come up with a risk based approach to vaccine role out. But teachers know better.

Let me understand the teachers point of view.. A teacher of 22 years of age wants to be vaccinated before her grandmother of 69 years of age. Is that correct? INTO ASTI COVIDー19

Would you support teachers going on strike

Any excuse with teachers
