The ‘Playground Etiquette’ letter urges parents to dress appropriately when collecting their children to ‘give a sense of pride and commitment to its values’.

The note says: ‘Wearing clothes that are too skimpy or for other times of day is not setting a good example.’A parent at the school said they had seen someone wearing a see-through mini skirt with a crop top and ‘you could literally see everything’.But the letter was not well received by everyone, with another parent annoyed with its ‘over the top’ language.

Co-headteachers Carol Collins and Emma Eardley said they issued the note as a response to parents wearing pyjamas and ‘ revealing clothing that looked like underwear’.Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@metro.co.uk.
