who is making these decisions. Its the parents who should be deciding whats the best for their kids. It still comes from somewhere some kind of decision with some reasoning someone has decided is right for everyone. I dont want anyone deciding whats best for my kids
No, its good to know what they will wear every day and makes everyone feel the same as far as clothes are concerned. There will be more expense for parents as some children will want a new look every day and designer outfits will start appearing in certain areas.
School uniforms make people look smart and could teach students that they’re future jobs could have a dress code and/or uniform. Preventing bullying isn’t a good enough reason, because bullying is a choice and it’s victim blaming, that is taking away self-control kind of.

The kids at our primary school wear supermarket skirts/trousers, plain polo tops and inexpensive sweatshirts with the school logo. Problem solved - no bullying or trying to outdo each other, they all look smart and like they belong to their own school community.

The uniform is part of the school code ,if they change it ,the children will dress in anything goes ,some in designer labels some in what they can afford ,This could cause division .

BIG PROBLEM, kids have rich parents will be turning up in designer clothes, The kids of lower income family will probably be turning up in big brother or sisters left Off’s.

One of the reasons the uniform was brought in was to ensure that all children were equal at school no matter what their background - no reason to change that surely

No I do not agree with that you can encourage children’s character and embrace , school uniforms should remain in place , that’s the badge to identify with the place you attend , it’s smarter and a uniformed look that also creates unity and oneness since all look the same .

Totally disagree.The School Uniform is the key to discipline,self discipline , respect,loyalty,comradeship + unity. I noticed a decline in attitudes when the School Uniform was allowed to be ' relaxed 'on individual styling and versions. Now reflected by Adult disrespect society

Can’t agree. Uniforms put kids all on the same level. Wearing what they want will create bullying of those who don’t have the latest trainers or jacket, put undue pressure on parents to spend money they don’t have and take away the identity of pupils and their School. Bad idea.
Uniform was meant to exist because it was inexpensive but now it's all branded that doesn't work. Just stick to the basic black trousers, white polo, whatever colour jumper according to school.

The reason was so poor kids didn’t feel different but they end up with second hand uniforms because they are expensive ! Asda or Tesco white polo shirts for all black trousers or skirts any overcoat no one likes blazers anymore
I am an ex-pat living in US and my boys wear school uniform, no blazer or tie. Since COVID they stopped it. The blazer and tie need to go in my opinion.
