Absolutely why should teachers have to pick up the carnage of Johnson's misgovernment of 110,00 dead Brits, underfunded NHS after 10 yrs of Tory cuts & lowest spending per capita on medics & hospital treatment in advanced Europe.

Good, the school day is already long enough. In lockdown children are online for up to 6, sometimes 7 hours a day as it is and that is before they do any homework. Any longer is unreasonable. When they do return to school they should not be expected to have longer days.

Trade union in obstructive bastards shock!

rightly so. government suggesting turning education into pre-work trials for the younger generation to get them used to 9-5 is not trying to get them their “education back.”

Cancel the 2022 Sats for current y5 and they'll catch up by July '22 and be secondary-ready. Keep them, and those kids will face a miserable year cramming nearly a year's missed learning while stressed heads worry about league tables. Do we really care about kids' mental health?

Teachers have been working INCREDIBLY hard to provide an education to all in these extraordinary times. It has not always gone well But that is not all their fault.

A slight extension would have massive advantages in reducing the gap in education that has been experienced over the last 10 months. Another option would be the shortening of school holidays....but yet again if I got months off work every year I probably wouldn't want that 🤣🤣

Teachers are not sitting at home doing nothing. They are following a teaching timetable, logging in, getting checked by heads, and so on. I left many years ago for computing because you get paid for a day's work but end up doing two!! Preparation, marking etc not counted.

Well there’s a surprise 😳

No one is above the law! To honor of my friends that help be a good person, I will not rest until the woods family, the police & their accomplices are held accountable! The only people that deserve a break in this case are the people they trick into helping them! fbi or bust?

If this story is true..in fact sod that, I actually believe it's TRUE...the rising hatred that is growing in this country against teachers and there 💩 union..that's why teachers should have a pay freeze..let's face it there on full pay through out this pandemic..not furlough....

Unions should have been lobbying for better technology for teachers & TAs trying to do online teaching from home.

Of course they do.

Our teachers are the worst in the world and also the most lazy and cowardly .
