The world is still reeling from the testimony of Dr Christine Blasey Ford at the US Senate. Dr Ford repeated her accusations that president Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, sexually assaulted her at a high school party 30 years ago. Kavanaugh denies these allegations. People from all walks of life have offered their support to Dr Ford. But, depressingly, the sensitivity of sexual assault and the credibility of her testimony are not stopping conservatives from trying to tear her down.

Dr Ford spoke perfect English, not Russian. She said she did not like flying, but she would do so if she had to. How can anyone not get that ?

Misogyny is deep in the souls of men--the system of power. A man can love the women in his life, yet still draw a cartoon like this. But I don't think he should be fired; let him be confronted with his own misogyny as an example of how our system operates. Feminism ...which people? Who on Twitter? The Indy staff?
