Everyone over here is rightly pointing out that Obama is being really stupid on this subject

Jonathan Freedland quotes Obama in the Guardian and that just about says it all about how useless and banal we are. In another world things would matter but we prefer to bath in platitudes and that’s just about that.

Defund: to prevent from continuing to receive funds. I think there were plenty on the left who thought ‘defund the police’ meant abolish the police. Defund does not mean reduce the funds a bit, no matter how much you want to rewrite recent history.

The British left are swivel eyed loons. You can't reason with them.

For Labour, it's not one comment or slogan; Labour needs to dissect the Tories playbook at elections, because it's clear it works for them, even with a figurehead as discredited as Johnson.
