High school graduates want face-to-face campus life as unis prepare for 2021 | natassiazc

Most school leavers disliked learning from home during the pandemic and are reluctant to continue online learning when they start university next year.

Year 12 graduate Charlotte Lowe is among the majority of students hoping they can enjoy a full university campus experience next year.NSW universities are drawing up plans for the 2021 academic calendar after resuming some face-to-face teaching in semester two this year. Most plan to expand in-person offerings, but mostand the option for students to attend classes remotely will remain.

Year13 founder Saxon Phipps said young people were "absolutely bursting with social energy". "Uni life, from tutes to theatre sports to the bars, is the perfect way to channel that," he said."Without a social outlet, year 12 students said it was hard to perform at their best during their HSC this year so we’re hoping there’s no repeat of that for them."
