Sounds great but in reality this would probably only work for 20% of the population. We need to study how the most successful countries manage.

better wage wud b key. & depends on which industry & how productivity is measured & what stages does productivity decrease at. a little more complex than saying productivity in general.

Let's see how this works when applied to the public sector. Will police officers solve the same number of crimes during a reduced week? Will GPs see the same number of patients in the reduced week? Will paramedics attend the same number of calls? Or is this idea 24 carat BS?

A fair day’s work for a fair day’s wage. No work, no wage.

If you're salaried I suppose you would welcome a 4 day week. I on the otherhand ALREADY work a 4 day week BUT on hourly rate & I can assure you 4 x 11hr days + travel time is no fun & increases NOTHING

JeremyFarrar Well, 🙄

Cloud cuckoo land. Production would simply overseas. Nobody is going to pay workers to sit idle for a day when they can get others to work for the same money.

How long and how much did it cost to state the obvious

There's far more to life than work. Need to shift our puritan mindset - no-one ever laid on their deathbed and wished they'd done more overtime...... TheGreenParty natalieben

Students at a university say working less means working more? How predictable.

Rubbish.

Oxford university graduations delayed after women refused entry for not wearing socks'The phrase he used to describe the breach of dress code - 'showing flesh' - made me quite uncomfortable and has in my opinion obviously misogynistic undertones' How ridiculous i mean how hard can it be to put some socks, dude ?
