The two things Gretchen Fullido learned from planting | Inq_Lifestyle

she earned while caring for her plants through an Instagram post yesterday, Oct. 24. Showing fans a photo of a Calathea Crimson she has cared for, Fullido spoke about how she is able to make the plant flourish.

“So many people say that the Calathea Crimson is such a diva like it’s Orbifolia cousin. I think that could be quite true. But so far, my Crimson is doing well aside from that burn on one leaf,” she said. She shared ways on how she cares for her Calatheas. First is not overwatering them. Second is not giving them too much sunlight . Third is using most of her diffusers for her plants as humidifiers. It’s on a trial, but so far, she assures that they’re all looking well and good.

But Fullido admits that she is not a perfect “plantita.” She has had some casualties too and some of her plants have also suffered root rot. “It happens to the best of us. So don’t be fooled that ALL my plants are happy and thriving. I also have plants that are on ICU, 50/50, super mega pray ako kay Lord na Mabuhay, iniiyakan ko, na-tegibels at iniyakan ko na and more. “Plants come and go even if you’re a seasoned-long time plant lover/enthusiast,” she said. “That’s what planting also taught me — that you can’t control everything, you need to be patient and you need to learn to let go.
