Florida teacher fired from Adventist school for being gay

on Tuesday, Runnels declared that Adventist teachers are part of the church's ministry and therefore"must teach, support and live in accordance with the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church."

On its website, the Seventh-day Adventist church states its position is that"sexual intimacy" should take place only between a married man and woman, according to the."The Bible makes no accommodation for homosexual activity or relationships," it says. In particular, he highlighted that FLEC had received public money in the form of state scholarships as well as federal coronavirus aid.

The scholarships, which see parents provided with state-backed vouchers to pay for their children's tuition, brought the facility nearly $1.7 million in total.

Christians don't endorse any other relationship other than the traditional family because that's what's best for children. They don't even endorse single parent families so its not just gays. If you have different values then don't work at a Christian org ..

Private school, that's the risk you take. Not everyone is supportive of the gay movement. I'm not happy with any group the feels they need force anyone to share thier view. Infact the gay community as a whole are bully's. Must be a self esteem thing.

(1/2) I personally have known Mr Arauz prior to his job at FLEC, when he was at another school of the same religious affiliation. When employed by that school, he went to Tallahassee to advocate for the funding he now has issue with.
