Cape Town - The Western Cape Education Department had to withdraw charges at a disciplinary hearing against a teacher who wrote “African” in his CV, instead of sticking with his “official” coloured identity.
Late last month, almost three years later, he was summoned to a disciplinary hearing. Schäfer said she had only discovered on Tuesday that Snyman “has allegedly been charged with fraud for classifying himself as African on his CV”. She said she asked for all the information regarding the case as a matter of urgency, because, on the face of it, it did not appear to be in line with what the administration stood for.
She said Snyman had identified himself as “African” on his CV in applying for the position, but had otherwise indicated “coloured” on other applications and documents.

Even if this guy is white or not, EVERY South African is Still regarded as African. African is NOT a colour. It's a race. People are so stupid and naive these days. If they ask what colour you are then it's different compared to what race you are

I still can't believe someone had to go through such. It's indeed unacceptable for the department to act in such manner. Where is our stupid human rights commission, okay maybe they were marching with the Nigerians yesterday.
“.... had to...” tell me that they believe they correct in what they want to do, but due to pressure, be it political or otherwise, they were forced to abandon their plan. What this tell me is that they will gladly do it again. does that include the pencil test?
And this is the education department bringing this charges. What kind of education they are teaching there. Just wondering
