With new cases hitting about 100,000 daily, Europe has by a wide margin overtaken the United States, where more than 51,000 COVID-19 infections are reported on average every day.
But the return of normal activity - from packed restaurants to new university terms - fuelled a sharp spike in cases all over the continent. Even Pope Francis was subject to new coronavirus rules, staying put at a safe distance from well-wishers at his weekly audience on Wednesday. The Czech Republic, with Europe’s worst rate per capita, has shifted schools to distance learning and plans to call up thousands of medical students. Hospitals are cutting non-urgent medical procedures to free up beds.
Weak willed governments, the covid19 outsmarted these politicians and their bureaucratic minions. Heed the lessons from Wahun China you fools. Short term lockdown (60 days)for long term gain.
FAKE FAKE FAKE
'Clusters have emerged'! The comments about Australia were so simplistic that I don't trust anything they said about Europe. FYI Victoria overcame a second wave, dropping from 687 cases on 4th August to under 15 a day 6 weeks later. NSW and Vic both still have 15 daily cases.
Makes total sense. England won't do it.
Oh I hope they are able to get it back under control and I pray it's not a preview of what will happen in the U.S.
Lockdowns are not the answer
Many countries are implementing to keep front line staff safe and from health system overloading
When will this nightmare end?🤷🏾♀️
