I've been on them for a very long time as I need to be - I'd much rather not take them but sadly that's not possible, why anyone who doesn't need them would take them is beyond me (same goes for any drug). Also has the study author considered the cost to the NHS of his proposal?

No. That is terrible advice. People who are depressed need to seek counseling and NOT take medication. There ARE people with chemical imbalances that are helped via these drugs but those people need to be actually tested for imbalances, not just told they are and pumped w/drugs
