To help teachers who might be encountering issues such as internet access and lack of conducive work spaces, McDonald’s Philippines will be opening its doors to educators when classes open next week.
To help the teachers, McDonald’s said that some of their party rooms will be converted to temporary classrooms. “Binago namin ang aming party rooms to give you a sanitized and quiet working space kung saan puwede niyo gawin ang inyong distance learning lessons,” the fast food company announced. McClassrooms will also be opened in Cavite, Cebu, Batangas, Pangasinan, Cagayan de Oro, Bohol, Negros Oriental, General Santos, Quezon, Ilocos, Tarlac, Davao, Bicol, Mindoro, Palawan, Aklan, and Bacolod. A complete list of participating stores is also available on its website.Meanwhile, the Department of Education welcomed this initiative, which complements its Basic Education – Learning Continuity Plan .
DepEd National Capital Region Director Malcolm Garma explained that this would also help teachers in Metro Manila public schools.
