Even when classes have already started, an official of the Department of Education on Thursday assured that late enrollees will be accepted immediately should they choose to enroll in public schools.Classes in public schools will formally start on Monday, Oct. 5. However, DepEd said that those who have missed the enrollment period from June 1 to July 15 will still be able to register for School Year 2020-2021.
“Schools will have to assign them to sections and prepare their learning materials before starting,” Mateo explained. “With this, parents and learners will have to wait for instructions from the adviser,” he added. Due to the ongoing public health situation, no student will be allowed to go to the schools. Instead, they will stay at home and learn their lessons through various alternative learning delivery modalities set by DepEd.
